PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Urgent Notice Regarding business owner and contractor Ken Lewis and “Adobe Guys Tucson” Contract Operations

This public service announcement is issued to alert homeowners, property managers, and subcontractors who engaged in business with Ken Lewis (official name: Kenneth Rupert Lewis) or his operating entities, :Adobe Guys Tucson” and “My Homeowner Handyman.” The Arizona Registrar of Contractors license #357673 for “My Homeowner Handyman” is now suspended:

Adobe Guys Tucson is not a licensed contracting company and is contrary to what they have on their website where it is written: “…Today we are a full ‘residential contractor’, licensed to do most every type of home repair and renovations…” Adobe Guys Tucson does not have a contractor’s license with the Arizona Registrar of Contractor’s and the license which “My Homeowner Handyman” had before their license was suspended does not qualify them as either an expert in adobe repair or as a “full ‘residential contractor.'”

The license which “My Homeowner Handyman” was a “Specialty Residential R-62 Minor Home Improvements.” The description of this limited license from the Arizona Registrar of Contractor’s own page is as follows:

“For projects of $5,000 or less including labor and materials, this classification allows the licensee to perform remodeling, repairs, and improvements to existing structures or appurtenances. The minor home improvement contractor shall not perform structural work to any existing structures or appurtenances, including load bearing masonry or concrete work (with the exception of on-grade flat work), and load bearing carpentry work (with the exception of patio or porch covers). Any work related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning systems, and boilers must be subcontracted to an appropriately licensed contractor.”

Ken Lewis was falsely advertising the services of “My Homeowner Handyman” and “Adobe Guys Tucson” as a “full residential contractor…licensed to do most every most every type of home repair and renovations.” This was an intentional false portrayal of both businesses as neither was qualified or licensed as such. The Purpose of this Notice
The purpose of this announcement is to warn the public about widespread operational fraud and severe financial mismanagement discovered prior to Ken Lewis’ recent death in late May 2026. This notice is intended to assist other potentially affected parties in identifying unauthorized practices and securing their legal rights within the ongoing probate court actions.

Product Substitution Fraud Alert
Evidence indicates that for at least an eight-month period leading up to his passing, Ken Lewis systematically utilized an unauthorized and significantly cheaper chemical product as a substitute for the Silox Adobe Water Repellent.

• The Impact: Customers who paid premium rates for genuine Silox treatments instead received a lower-grade alternative without their knowledge or consent.
• What to Do: If you had contract work performed by Ken Lewis during late 2025 or early 2026, you are strongly advised to inspect your property, review your invoices, and verify the structural integrity and authenticity of the materials applied to your project.

Financial Theft and Pending Litigation
In addition to customer deception, Ken Lewis engaged in substantial financial theft, potentially withholding tens of thousands of dollars in hard-earned referral commissions and the unauthorized substitution of other authorized products for adobe repair and restoration.

A formal Notice of Claim has been filed on the Probate Court docket in downtown Superior Court in Tucson, AZ (case #: PB 20260735) to pursue full legal redress from the Estate. A comprehensive, 70+ page Verified Complaint detailing civil conspiracy, fraud, and breach of contract is currently being advanced to hold the operation accountable.

Current Status and Legal Redress
Following Ken Lewis’ death, the Estate has entered probate under a new defense attorney, Suzanne Diaz. ((520) 867-4400; sdiaz@sdiazlaw.com. Representatives of the Estate have claimed insolvency and are reportedly liquidating remaining assets, including corporate work trucks.

If you are a customer, subcontractor, or creditor who was defrauded, denied payment, or subjected to unauthorized product substitutions by Lewis, you may be entitled to recovery. Because the probate court enforces strict statutory deadlines for claims against an estate, you must act immediately.
