Yes, it does snow in Tucson, AZ as the photo above shows. This is one of my work trucks in the parking lot of Pima Canyon during a "snow storm" that happened in the winter of 2007. Of course, the picture cannot capture this unbelievably beautiful and rare moment in the desert of Tucson.

Highlights and History
1982 First year in business as a painting contractor
1983 Worked on first adobe home
1985 Began specializing in restoration of adobe homes
1985-1989 These four years were spent in research and development of many of the specialized techniques of adobe restoration. Perhaps the greatest accomplishment of this period was the research and development of the only water repellent formulated particularly for adobe blocks. This product, originally called "Repel Adobe Water Repellent", has been reformulated to give even greater protection and has a new name: SILOX ADOBE WATER REPELLENT.
Also during this time period, the name "The Adobe Doctor" was invented, and I began advertising and running my restoration business under this name.
1992 Wrote "The Adobe Repair Manual"
1995 Sold "The Adobe Doctor" to John Schimon.
1997 Came back into the restoration business as "ADOBE MASTERS"
Began developing a new line of water repellents formulated for flagstone under the SILOX name. SILOX ADOBE WATER REPELLENTS, SILOX FLAGSTONE SEALERS and SILOX FLAGSTONE WATER REPELLENTS are marketed to stores in Tucson. Created unique label for the SILOX ADOBE WATER REPELLENT and also wrote sales literature to explain each product.
1998 Developed and formulated a water repellent for rammed earth and also developed a sealer that I call an "anti-dust" for the interiors of rammed earth homes and mud adobe homes. Also added to the line of existing water repellents a formulation for slump block.
1998-Present ADOBE MASTERS, a fully licensed and bonded company, continues to restore adobe homes in Tucson. Roy Spears does consulting work on adobe structures and continues to research and develop water repellents for earth and other natural products.

2000-2002 "Repairing and Preserving Your Adobe Home" by Roy E. Spears should be finished by September of this year. This is a step-by-step manual of adobe restoration procedures that ADOBE MASTERS uses in restoring adobe homes. It also gives detailed information on adobe as a building material and discusses the pros and cons of all the different types of adobe available in the AZ market, along with information on SILOX ADOBE WATER REPELLENTS.
